Bathroom Shower Mixer fed from Central Heating?

Hi, a new Combi Boiler was installed to replace a gravity fed system. Works perfectly apart from no hot water in bath/shower mixer tap. Turns out plumber connected an old decommissioned hot water pipe from the old gravity fed system to the mixer tap on the bath and the suggestion to fix the problem is to run a spur/tee from the radiator in the bedroom next door as this would minimise disruption to the newly tiled bathroom.

Can/should it be done this way and how would it affect the heating side when the mixer tap is on and calling for hot water?

The water in the radiators is not the same as what would come out of the hot tap.

You need to tee into the hot water pipework supplying the basin.
