Safety Concerns of Unvented Cylinder

Dear All,
Sorry if this question has been answered before.
I have moved into this new flat and discovered that it has an unvented cylinder; I am concerned about the safety of this cylinder as I heard they can explode/bust. It stopped working (there was no timed-water and the only bost was working) and a plumber came and said it was overheating so he reset something and went quickly before I can fully understand. I wonder why that happened? Could it mean my cylinder is faulty? It looks relatively brand new.
My cylinder has the following things:
1. Aquasystem expansion vessel (3.5 bar)
2. Reliance 6 bar control valves (connect expansion vessel to cylinder)
3. Reliance TPR 15 that goes inside the cylinder
I am very concerned, please let me know if this is risky?
