Replacing a Standard Horizontal Radiator to a Vertical Radiator

Hi,
I am currently looking at replacing a standard horizontal radiator to a vertical radiator.
The existing and new location are fairly close and as a temporary solution whilst i mount it and await availability of a plumber, is there a way I can use, remove existing radiator leaving the valves/lockshields in place, then use some speedfit pipe/fittings to connect to existing radiator valves to the new vertical radiator to get it up and running.
Would it be possible to provide links/part numbers to achieve this ?
Many thanks in advance
Graham
