Searching for a Back Nut for Side Flush Handle

Got a broken back nut in a side flush handle. The only way I can seem to get a replacement is to pay £40+ for a whole new unit. I've tried various local suppliers but no one can help. Any suggestions about where I might get just the plastic nut?

Can only suggest what I'd try...

Measure thread size and then search for a nut? If you have calipers it's very easy (tip these are cheap online and come in useful far more often than you'd imagine). Failng that, you can get a decent approximation with a ruler or by measuring around the thread (circumference) and then dividing by PI (3.14159)

Or take part along to plumbers' merchant or DIY shed. If it's a standard metric nut it's likely that other flush mechanisms will use the same size. They may be available separately for another make or you may find a much cheaper unit and just use the nut from it.
