Tap Cartridge Flow and Combi not Kicking in

Hi, first time poster, hope someone can help as I've just fitted a new monobloc tap but there is not enough pressure being released to kick the combi in. After trying a few things I ended up running the water through a flexi pipe and the boiler kicks in so it looks like the tap cartridge is restricting the flow. Can you buy cartridges with extra flow?
