Boiler Stopped due to Air Pressure Issues

by arashtrip » Wed Apr 29, 2020 10:05 am

Hi,

We have a combi Worcester 24CDi and it stopped working last night. Actually the CH stopped working couple of days ago and hot water went off last night.

I checked and it seems that the issue is the air pressure as the two middle lights are flashing slowly and the pressure is 0. The problem is that the boiler is in the loft and it is very difficult for me to access to the air pressure switch.

So, is there any way without opening the boiler case to increase the pressure as I do not want to call a plumber in this situation.

Any help would be apprecaited.

Hi arashtrip,
There should be a filling loop, usually below the boiler, which will allow you to connect your heating system to the cold mains. Use this to up the system pressure but do not over pressurise the system, watch the pressure gauge and tap it frequently in case it is sticking.
Regards S
