Outdoor rainwater drainage and flooding issues

Hi, dug up this pipe the other day, one end connects to the downpipe of the garage guttering. and the other connects to another pipe (not sure where this goes). This area of the garden floods when it rains heavily.
My questions 'would there be enough water from a standard sized garage roof to cause flooding at this join?'
If so, what could I do about it? Any advice appreciated.

Yes in heavy rain there will be enough water to cause flooding especially since it looks like there is type 1 in the area which may have a high clay content.
You should trace where the second pipe goes and make sure it is clear - it may just be a perforated pipe which needs clearing.

Thanks for the reply stoneyboy. ok, so the other pipe might not even go any where. I'll dig that up next. The smaller pipe was full of black soil so I'm assuming the other one will be the same. Is there anything I can do to stop the pipes blocking again?

To stop the silt getting into the soak away pipework you need to fit a drainage gulley trap. Different manufacturers make a variety of configurations and you will have to modify and adapt the outlet to fit on your existing pipe, assuming you reuse it. If you can include a grating on top to stop leaves getting into the system.
