Connecting two waste pipes to 40mm waste trap

Hi. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing so please be patient! Our washing machine waste hose is connected to the waste trap under the sink via a single spigot. The spigot is screwed to the 40mm waste pipe (the waste connector pipe itself is threaded and not a standpipe). We have just got a dishwasher and need to connect the waste pipe so I need an adaptor with a double spigot, but they all seem to be designed for a standpipe and not a threaded connection. Sorry if that was a bit rambling, but like I said, I have no idea. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi schrodingers cat
You will have to replace the trap with one with two spigots, McAlpine market one.

Hi schrodingers cat
1 1/2" traps are a standard diameter but the height may be different.
