Hi from 10º but sunny medieval York :-)

I got a leak in my bath (see picture above) at the bath tub drain area. Basically every time i pull the plug in the bath it leaks quite heavily on the underside.

Am i right in thinking this could be a bath tub drain repair job? If yes please could a DIY Doctor member suggest a method and tools needed?

Grazie mille,
David

Hi honan
It looks like the overflow pipe joint is leaking. Undo the flanged nut and check the pipe is correctly located into the waste fitting. You could smear the pipe with silicone sealant to form a better seal - no tools needed.

Massive thanks for replying but I tightened everything up and water is leaking / flowing from whatever you call that bit :-(

Fixed it, visited a plumbing specialist and they advised replacing the bath drain and ceiling up with silicone which I duly did :-)
