Total novice here hoping for a bit of advice.
We have recently been renovating the kitchen and part of that involved re-jigging the mess of pipes that was behind the washing machine. It is now in a closed loop coming from the boiler upstairs, through the shower/toilet/bathroom and down, and the plumber left the tap taped up at a certain pressure (1) while the plasterer came in to do his thing (not the best picture for seeing things on-sorry!). The pipe goes through the wall to an outside tap at (2), has a waste pipe going out to the drain at (3) and goes into the wall and up at (5).
It would be good to get our washing machine plumbed back in for now so we don't have to keep spending a fortune at the laundrette, but all tutorials on plumbing it in I've seen just involve swapping a new machine's water pipe in at one point (where the old one was). So question:
If we turned the water off at (1), undid the joint at (4) and then attached the 2 water pipes that are on our machine (one's got a blue end, the other white and then there's a grey waste pipe) would that be it away as part of the loop? Or is that going to do weird pressure things or cause hot/cold water problems that we should just fork out and get the plumber back in for?
