How can I cap off inlet hose from a washing machine?

Probably one of the simplest questions ever but I’ve no idea.
Just uncoupled a washing machine and sold it. (I’m selling the house)
Standard blue, cold water hose is now uncoupled and so I had to turn off water at stopcock to stop water gushing into my kitchen.
Is there any simple fitting I can buy to stop the water gushing out until a new washing machine goes in?
I can’t get to the start of the hose as the installer put it behind the kitchen units with no access.
Thanks
