Hi geo2812.
Your shower looks like a Mira excel biv, but you will only be able to confirm this by finding a makers name or part number. If you are able to do this it is only the start of your problems - these valves are notoriously difficult to take apart especially removing the large central body.
Replacing the whole valve will also be difficult but if you go for the same design choose one where the inlet centres can be adjusted (slightly).

Hi Stoneyboy
Thanks for the info, I tried to get the centre out today and it comes out about 20mm then sticks, there are no markings anywhere I can see so going to try to get a replacement as you suggested. Thanks again

Hi geo2812.
If you try turning the centre too hard you may damage the pipework in the wall.
I find the best solution is to fit a bar type mixer with a flexible to the shower head but it does mean replacing a couple of tiles.
