Trouble installing Thermostatic Shower Valve

by BullBates1 » Sun Jan 09, 2022 7:19 pm

I'm trying to install the below valve in my bathroom but am running into some problems that I could do with your collective advice on!

https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/arezzo-round-triple-concealed-thermostatic-shower-valve-with-diverter-matt-black

1. No matter how much ptfe tape I wrap around I just can't get the inlet and outlets to stop leaking, I bought standard brass 1/2" to 15mm bsp fittings. I'm considering to use liquid ptfe unless someone can advise otherwise. Would I use the liquid ptfe in addition to or in place of the tape?

2. The instructions specify to ensure that the lug on the rear stop is at 12 o'clock however offers no suggestions on what to do if it isn't. Mine is at about 1 o'clock

3. When attaching the bath tap and shower tap, after tightening, they are not facing vertically down. If I keep facing the correct position it is loose and will leak. What is the recommended way to install these correctly?

Many thanks for your help!
