Low water pressure after mixer tap shower

Just trying to wrap my head around the low pressure I'm getting on my shower.
Just moved in and have a gravity fed system with terrible shower pressure water flow test on shower about 0.3 L in 6 secs. New shower head and even removed the hose and looked at pressure coming from mixer and its the same. First I though it could be a blocked up mixer so i replaced it (it was also missing a dial) but new mixer same issue.
Out of curiosity I turned the water on with no mixer and the water pressure seemed fine filling a liter in under 6 secs on both hot and cold lines (and also soaking my bathroom as it shot across the entire bath)
I bought the mixer without looking it up and it says needs 0.5 bar pressure due to the location of the tank only about 2m above I don't think thats 0.5 bar but the pressure coming out confuses me.
Anyone advise what would be best, would I need to look at a low pressure mixer or a shower pump?
