Hi,

I am hoping someone can share some pearls of whisdom.

I am looking to install a mixer into a wall cavity, there is an electrical cable that is present. Is there any regulations that dictate that that pipes can not be run within a certain distance of a socket/cable etc?

thanks,
Dave

from my understanding you are ok to install the mixer as long as the cable is a straight run and no joints in it
the problem may arise when if say its a stud wall and there is a switch etc on the other side then you may fall foul
best advice would come from the electrical governing body NICIEC or something like that?
as bathroom installers we often have to run piping and cables next to each other and it always passes
