Hello All,

New to this forum an have a question re hot water pressure. Just fitted a new bath. Switched the water off at the mains and drained the water tanks in the house as the interior stop tap was seized. The water is back on now and the cold water supply is fine but the hot water is very low pressure and spluttering. Would this be an air lock in the hot water tank / boiler? Is this easy to put right?

Help would be much appreciated.

Cheers in advance.

Hello All,

Re above. Just found the solution to this problem on the curing an air lock link. Did the washing machine pipe trick and it's worked a treat. Hot water pressure is now fine.

Andy, (or anyone else who can help)

I've lost hot water pressure too. It happened after I drained the system to fit a new radiator. How did you fix yours? What do you mean by..."curing the air lock link" and "washing machine pipe trick"?

Hello Markcle,

Have you tried bleeding the radiators? The air lock I had was actually in the hot water pipes. The washing machine trick is something I found on here. If you go back to the home page from here, on the left hand side of the page is a search bar. Just type in "Curing an air lock" and hit enter and it'll bring up all the subjects. Click on the hot water air lock link and it takes you through step by step what to do. Did the trick for me. Hope you get it sorted mate.
