I am fitting a ceramic kitchen sink. Instructions say centre punch hole then cover with masking tape and drill 8mm hole. then gently tap with centre punch to the required size, sounds easy. Do`es any one have any advice as to making sure I do not crack the glaze or worse still the sink . Also how would I fasten the sink as there are no fixings supplied with the sink. Would be grateful for any advice. Hammo

We use a tile drill bit for these, its much safer to use than a masonry bit.

Just get one the right size to start with and don’t hit the centre punch too hard.

Like most kitchen sinks, you need to cut a hole for them, we use sealant to hold them in place.

You first use your sealant on the underside to the sink, then when it’s cured a bit, go round the top rim edge of the sink.

The sink shouldn’t move once the waste and water pipes are in place.
