Hi there, I'm all new to this so please accept my apologies for any wrong doings.

I have has a new out house built at the bottom of my garden and wish to take a cold water feed there. I need to know what type of piping to use and at what depth the pipe needs to be in the garden. The feed will come from my kithchen through my extension (also new build & floor has not been finished yet) & then through the garden.

I was wondering, can I use 20 MM as this would be easier to reduce to 15mm copper or is it as easy to reduce 25mm to 15mm.

I am also confused with male & female connectors(dont laugh) :lol:

Pleas shed some light on this

They do make a 25mm to 15mm MDPE copper adaptor and there about £7 from screwfix. Go there on this link

You can’t use 20mm, I know its easier, water regs say 25mm MDPE so that’s what you have to use.



Male and female parts……….

The only time you have to worry about these parts is if you are using an adaptor.

Say your putting your connect 25mm mdpe to ¾ steal pipe.

The male part is normally the end you insert, the female is the receiver.
