My immersion heater blows the mains fuses when reaching temperature. I have changed the very old 11" heater for an 18" long life heater, but still no change. Have replaced the mains supply cable, the cable from the switch to the thermostat, the switch and the thermostat. Mains (consumer unit) fuse is rated 15 Amps and supplies only this and is whole. Thermostat is rated 12.5A. New immersion heater switch also upgraded to 13A fused switch with neon. The only thing left is to try and but an old short immersion heater - any clues? Thanks
