Leak on hot water cylinder

I have a small leak coming from a pipe on the side of my hot water storage cylinder.
The leak is coming from where the flow pipe enters the cylinder and I am trying to figure out what sort of cylinder I have.
Originally I thought I had an indirect cylinder but I only have one water tank in the loft space that has 'feed and expansion' written on the side but this seems to feed the hot water and heating.
Does this mean I have a single feed 'self priming' cylinder?
There are no markings on the cylinder and it has an old style jacket wrapped around it so I think it is quite old.
The feed and return pipes are in 28mm if this gives any clues.
