NOISY TOILET

by BOBBITTY » Tue Apr 17, 2007 12:55 pm

RECENTLY EVERYTIME WE FLUSH THE TOILET, THERE IS A LOUD VIBRATING NOISE COMING FROM THE PIPEWORK.
I HAVE TRIED THE WATERHAMMER CURE OF FASTENING A YOGHURT POT TO THE BALL COCK BUT ITS NOT WORKED. I HAVE ALSO CHANGED THE PRESSURE FROM THE STOP TAP HIGH AND LOW, STILL NO LUCK.
THE ONLY THING THAT STOPS THE NOISE IS IF WE TURN ON THE COLD WATER TAP IN THE BATHROOM.
CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ADVICE ON A CURE?

You have got an oscillating float valve, the diafram is worn and needs replacing
