routing an aerial cable from antennae into loft

i have an aerial on the chimney (terraced house) at the moment with a single aerial cable coming from it down the side of the house on the outside and entering the lounge on ground level.
i now want an aerial connection in the converted loft. how do i go about connecting another cable to the aerial on the chimney and then routing it into the loft? or should i be splitting the cable that exists already, although this would have to happen on the outside of the house where the cable runs.
and where would be the best place to enter the cable into the loft from outside?
thanks for your help!

Hi

Have you had a look at the DIY projects section, especially the project on Using Coaxial Cable: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects.htm This may be of some help to you.
