i have extension being built and will have a part flat lead roof and tiles on the slopes.
does anyone know where i can buy reasonable priced lead from.

You could shop round your area and see what prices are like, try roofing contractors as well as builders merchants. Cheap lead is generally not a good idea - it has blow holes in it and the edge is not cut straight.

you also need to ensure that you buy the right code lead for it to last long enough.

by way of the right code....what does this mean?

lead is coded according to its thickness. if you put the wrong type of lead down, then you are either going to pay more than is needed or have a job than hasn't the life expectancy desired.

search for the lead sheet association website - they have details of what sort of lead to use where.
