I am replacing the felt on my shed. The felt nails I am removing have heads which are larger than any replacements I have found. Can anyone advise where nails with extra large heads might be available - or are these no longer in production
The length would ideally be around 18 mm

Try Screwfix - catalogue number 14831 for 13mm (usually long enough) or 17718 for 20mm.

sorry - I should have made it clearer - I have already tried both screwfix and tool station and the heads in both 13 and 20 mm length are much smaller than the old felt nails I am removing
perhaps this a case of ''they don't make them like they used to''
does anyone know where I might lay on my hands on some old stock

You said it "they don't make them like they used to" Those from the likes of Screwfix are perfectly OK for the job though.
I think you'd have to go back a lot of years to see the ones you think are better.
Why do you want bigger heads ? With a shed I would always use a polyester based felt, it won't tear like the old stuff, and certainly can be fixed with today's nails.
