Mini Profile Corrugated Roof Fixings

I have installed a sloping roof using Ariel Corolux plastic fixings.I find these deteriorate quickly and snap (in my very windy location)Has anyone found better fixings or perhaps made their own.At the age of 70,I find it more difficult to keep replacing them,so your help would be appreciated.
