Quick Repair for Roof Edge Seal Split

Hello,
My apologies if something similar had been posted before - I've had a look but am a complete novice and I'm not really sure what to actually search for.
The attached pictures show what I believe to be the cause of a leak at my house. It's a bit of a disaster as the house is about to be sold and we have a surveyor coming on Monday. I'm hoping to do a patch repair myself to halt the ever increasing damp patch on the wall, but I have no idea what products to use.
A Google search has thrown up Bostik emergency roof repair, which sounds promising as it can be applied to a wet roof, but it looks like it might be too thin for this gap, which is between 5-10mm wide.
Does anyone have any advice on the product(s) I should use to stick the roofing felt back to the wall and re-seal? And any general advice about actually doing it?
Thank you very much, in advance, for your help.
