Does this roof tile need urgently repairing?

I noticed a small fault in a tile on my roof today, however looking at original photos of the house we took when we bought it, its been there for some time.
It appears like a very thin layer of the red tile has come off but the core concrete part of the tile is still intact, just the red layer has come off.
Is this deemed urgent and repairworthy? I have not had any leaks. Attached a photo of it, its right above the apex of the roof.

Hi apachediyman,
The mortar you can see is the bedding for the tiles and valley gutters, it is unlikely to leak.
You could replace the tile but this will be fiddly since you will have to cut a new tile and get it to bed properly. You also need to consider access and any damage that may result and stripping the roof above the broken tile. The easiest solution is to mix some sharp sand with cement and a brown colourant and cover the mortar area once you have damped it.

It looks like it is not so damaged that you have to change it now. As you said there is no leakage. So, I don't think it will be a problem. But don't forget to change.
