Flashing detail advice for leaking velux window

Hi,
I have a serious leaking extension roof down one side of a velux window on a property I've bought, however I've traced the leak higher up to the top of the roof around the ridge area.
Looking at the picture several things look wrong / need attention, am I correct?
1) ridge tile should have a saddle beneath it, doesn't look like it has, how should this be fitted?
2) corner flashing looks wrong to me, shouldn't the flashing on the wall to the left be underneath the facing wall flashing with a welded corner piece beneath?
3) flashing is cut into/through render & sealant coming away, is it OK to reseal with mortar or should render be removed, chased into bricks & render finished with a bellcast above?
Thanks for any advice
Chris

OK, finally it stopped raining & forecast a dry spell, so I've been out on the roof & removed the last ridge tile & had a look at the flashing.

The flashing joins above the ridge tile, it is loose with gaps behind & only chased into the render not the brickwork - by 10mm at its shallowest.

As a temporary repair I've pulled the old silicon sealant out & resealed with a better sealant, and rebed / pointed the last tiles.

Is the flashing OK over the end ridge, or should it have its own saddle type of flashing?

Ps I think admin changed the title adding velux in which the post is not about!
