Cracked Rafter

I have a gabled room on my 13 year old house. One of the rafters (2x8?) has a knot in the middle of it and it the beam has cracked half way through at the knot. The crack is less than 2 ft long and 4" of the beam is still solid. Any suggestions on how to repair it?
