I had a series of minor repairs done to my roof in May to address some water ingress. Unfortunately the water ingress has reappeared in the same place. Of course, the stormy weather in recent days could have recreated the original damage, by coincidence, or the original problem has not been fixed in the first place. When trying to hire a roofer for the repair, what should I ask them to build confidence that they will try and identify the underlying source of the leak once and for all? The roof is pitched and the damage is likely to be to the side of a dormer.
