Bad Roof Leak in 3 Year old Persimmon Home!

Desperate for some advice please from experienced roofers. We have water running down the walls on a bedroom of a 3 yr old persimmon home. They have been evasive blaming condensation until a roofer attended yesterday (the second one). He did actually work on the roof and has discovered an issue which he said is a fault from the build but is not allowed to disclose anything. I literally had to prise this information out of him. He advised the whole house needs to be scaffolded and repaired but the
job itself would only take about a day. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Could it be they've haven't put something in or the felt is wrong. Any advice would be appreciated. We have an independent inspection booked but not for a few weeks.

Hi cms72,
Theoretically if the roof tiles have been laid correctly rainwater should end up in the gutter. The second line of defence is the under slaters felt which should be lapped into the gutter so any rainwater getting through the tiles should also end up in the gutter.
Suggest you wait for the independent report and then contact Persimmon.

Thank you so much, yes I do need that and have someone trustworthy coming out next week. Hopefully I will get it sorted but they are trying to evade any responsibility. Kind regards.
