Hi there new to the forum, just bought our first house a 1933 semi. Frankly the sound proofing sucks can here every word from next door. The house is adjoined living room to living room with a alcove at either side of fire place. The main problem is while were upstairs in our bedroom above the living room we can here next door in there living room quite clearly aswel. The joist run parallel to there house, how is the sound doing this? Going to rip the floor boards up tomorrow in our bedroom and see whats goin on. Anything to look for while Iam there would appreciate any help. Thanks regards Carl

Hi Carl,

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm in a similar position and would love to know what kind of results you got from what you did?

Cheers
