soundproofing a booth

hi,
newbie Ric
i live in flats and want to construct a freestanding, temporary 'sound treated' booth, inside a room, for sounding wind instruments (experiment)
for a base, i intend to use a wooden pallet, which will raise the entire structure away from the floor - with plenty of room in the pallet itself, for foam, etc
for the walls and 'lid' i intend to use garden trellice, lagged on either side with something like professional 'soundproofing mat' - all corners overlapping and secured with velcro
any tips, please?
thanks,
R
