Washing machine drum does not operate during spin cycle

Candy washing machine CN136 about 5 years old
drum will go round during normal wash cycle but will not operate during spin,washer has drained,and the belt is ok.

hi ....sounds to me like you need to replace the motor,i have had the same problem myself in the past,not a difficult job ,but by the time you buy the motor etc,you might be better off getting a new machine ...especialy if you are not competant to do the job yourself regards mike

Could be the carbon brushes are on their last legs or the controller has had it. You probably need specialist help - whether its worth it on a machine this old is up to you.
