Installing a cooker under the stairs

Hi,

My stairway encroaches into the kitchen and I'm thinking about moving the cooker and hob to under the stairs. The lowest point of the underside of the stairs is 97cm above where the hob would be. I was thinking of boxing in under the stairs and installing a recirculating extractor in the boxing.

Does this sound like a terrible idea?

Cheers,

Mark

Hi... this idea sounds terrible. I'm not sure if that's entirely legal/sensible. If your kitchen is small, why not remodel it and have the cooker in a more appropriate place.
