Can I use a shaver socket (230v UK) in the bathroom to charge an electric toothbrush. Any special wiring required if socket is suitable?

My electric toothbrush charger has a shaver plug on the end and runs at 240v so that would be fine.
I guess if you have a normal plug on the charger then you'd need to use an adapter but check the ratings on the plate and charger to make sure it wont be overloaded.

Hi yorksvilla,
Manufactures instructions should be followed. but if you used a two pin adapter, as standard shaver sockets are
seperated extra low voltage. which means the voltage supplied to your property is stepped down at this point to twelve volts. I would say it would be safe to do so.
