Moving gas cooker supply

Me & my fiancee are through the process of buying our first house (fun times!!!), but the kitchen is, er, awful. The main issue is the cooker. It's in the corner of the kitchen, where the back door opens onto it.
We are wanting to move the cooker to the other end of the kitchen. Obviously for this we need to do some rearranging with the gas supply. I know this has to be done by a quallified contractor, just wondering if anyone has any idea how much this could cost?
Below is a link to a diagram of the layout & an idea of what we are wanting. Could we have a supply running from the gas fire in the living room with it being nearer to the end wall or would we need it from where the cooker is at the minute?

Thanks for any feedback :)
