Bosch Classixx 1400 Washing Machine Problem

Hello there,
Am in need of some washing machine advice. My Bosch Classixx 1400 Express just boiled a wash that was programmed as a 40 degree cycle. I was alerted to the problem by steam coming from the soap drawer. I've read that the thermostats in modern machines are fairly reliable, so it may be a programmer fault or a stray wire somewhere. Anybody have any ideas as to what the most likely culprit is and, if so, how easy it would be to fix?
Thanks in advance!
