Hi, I am currently installing a new kitchen in an old bedroom, so all water and electrical sockets and supplies to appliences etc, are totaly new. I intend to instal an integrated dishwasher, disposal unit and a water softener withinn the sink/tap area. These need power supplies under the sink, (13 amp sockets) and fused isolators above wortop level.

Questions: What is the minimum distance between the kitchen taps and any switched power source above the worktop, and are 13 amp sockets under the sink unit legal.

Hi No minimum distance specified but recommended 300mm from sink/drainer, under sink unit allowed but should use outdoor type IP rated socket (the type with a 'Gel seal' around cable). regards SPARX
