condensation on chest freezer

I have a chest freezer in a unheated utility room and run off from condensation on the sides during wet weather is a problem. I am thinking of sticking poly foam on the sides to cure this problem, the type of insulation that comes in rolls with a foil backing meant to insulate walls behind CH radiators seems ok.
Has anyone any experience or a better solution

I have had it and found the freezer insulation was faulty and also had it where the room was just too damp. How much power is it using? Does it switch off or does it seem to be always running? The cure with non faulty freezer was to move into another building.
