Integrated CDA Dishwasher tripping RCD

by Geoff5 » Sat Oct 27, 2018 1:30 pm

I have an Integrated CDA Dishwasher WC140 which I have been using for about 9 years.

When I try to use it now it trips the RCD Fuse box after a few seconds of being turned on. However, it will work on the Prewash (No Heat) setting.

This leads me to believe that the heating element is faulty. Does anyone disagree with this? If so what else might it be?

I was also wondering if there was a test I could carry out on the heating element before I spend £70 on a replacement.

I have tried to find a short between earth and the various terminals on the element but cannot find any.

I have measured the resistance between, what I think are, the element ends and it measures 25ohms.

Thanks
