Changing Bulb in Outdoor Light and Removing Casing

Please can anyone advise how I remove the casing to change the bulb on this outdoor light?

I suppose you've already tried twisting the glass shade through an angle? Probably anticlockwise but try both ways. It may have a set of lugs moulded in the glass base which unscrew from the metal base with a quarter-turn.
