Hotpoint tumble dryer intermittent fault

I have a tumble dryer which sometimes fails to illuminate the initial panel lights and thus fails to start, but other times the lights come on and the dryer will start. Occasionally it will start and then cut out after just a minute. The motor and the drum are good. I suspect the pcb behind the control panel. Any other ideas? This is a rear vented machine and the vents are all clear. There is possibly a tendency for the start-up lights to work more frequently when the machine has been turned off at the plug socket for a while. But this observation may be a bit random. Basically, the dryer sometimes turns on (ie the circuit is live) and other times won't. When it does light up initially, the full cycle will normally work.

That reply suggested using this forum (Appliances in the Home). I am seeking some constructive ideas.

I do not agree, below is a copy of what I typed

No mention of "appliances in the home" forum.
White goods have become very specialised in their repair.

'Mr White': an unhelpful pair of responses. I will turn to use a more useful site. This is just wasting my time and that of all other readers of these forums.

You are only saying that (Me being unhelpful) because you did not get the exact answer you wanted, and you did not read my exact reply.
This more useful site, would that be the UK white goods forum?
