Help needed with Kenwood dishwasher

Hello.
I'm hoping that someone can help me with my dishwasher problem.
I have a Kenwood KFW60X16.
When I start a cycle it empties the waste hose and seems to take in a little water, but then it just starts humming and doesn't do anything else.
I checked the waste and water inlet hoses and they seem OK. I opened the bottom and the impeller is in good condition and moves freely.
What do I check next?
Everything looks good at a glance. The salt looks brown and disgusting but maybe that's just normal.

Hi moraydavid,
Most likely the inlet solenoid valve has failed, you won't know if this is right until you replace it.

Thanks. I'll order a new one and try that.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I fitted a new solenoid valve but sadly it's still not working.
Not sure if there is anything else I can try without calling in a professional.
Thanks
David

Hi moraydavid,
Sorry that didn't solve the problem, perhaps it's time to bite the bullet.

Truth be known, quite often people think they know what the problem is with an appliance, but appliances don't work how you think they should, so people end up wasting money by changing parts. If you have an appliance problem ask on a dedicated appliance repair forum, not a diy forum or an electricians forum.
