Is it possible to fit a cooker extactor hood to an existing flue that was once used for a Rayburn?

Worried about power of fan to push air the height of flue and also condensation.

Would a condensate trap work in this instance? and can anyone recomend the strength of fan required.

This is a bit of a tall order, without knowing where you live and the length of the pipe, one cannot even guess.
Out in the country on a night like tonight ,with minus temperatures, with a tall external metal pipe filled with a plug of cold air and high pressure to boot.
This stack of air will take some moving.
Why not settle for a nice typical, normal installation that will be guaranteed to work?
