Black Quartz Floor Tiles

I had a builder lay the tiles for me but i grouted them. I used black grout washed off the excess grout with a soft sponge and clean water and wiped off the haze with a soft cloth but some of the tiles have some very dull areas which appear as if the grout hasn't been cleaned off correctly, when it had been. Does anyone know how the dull areas have occured and what if anything i can do to correct it(bar replacing the tile itself)?

Thanks for any help or advice

Damian you need to nick the pan scrubber from the kitchen the one with the green face or buy so scotch pads from local shop. Using them dry buff the remaining grout from tile faces.

Did you seal before grouting?

The dull areas are where the surface of the tile has been scratched either by wiping of excess adhesive or grout (grout is very abrasive) or not polished so highly as the rest before leaving the factory.

1. Get it polished out - will need a lot (and I mean a lot) of polishing.

2. Replace the tile(s) concerned

3. Live with it.

not disagreeing with you rosebery,
another alternative is to get yourself some HG Extra. puposely made for this problem.

it will still need a lot of polishing though!
