Tiling over part screed and part parquet flooring

Hi i am a bit of a quandary because I bought some marble floor tiles I wanted to lay in place of a lino covered piece plywood which I noticed was very wet round the toilet and sink area.At first i thought the whole floor area would be screeded, as it was round the toilet and sink, but as I proceeded to remove the ply discovered half is parquet(not laminate). The question is what should I do ? Without the ply the height is just right for tiling as that would mean the tiles would be the same height as the flooring in the adjacent hallway.Either i tile over the whole lot or remove the parquet flooring and replace with further screed before tiling.Presumably the whole lot would have to dry before laying. The other option I thought of was returning the tiles and laying some kardean , which is much thinner, over a fresh piece of plywood.
I would welcome any advice ,thank you

another thing should I decide to remove the pine parquet flooring presumably I would need to remove the bituminous adhesive as well. How could I do that?
