Removed Tiles and Need to Know Do I Plaster it or Fix the Wall?

by Umaga » Sat May 20, 2017 12:35 pm

I've removed a few tiles and the board it was adhered to keeps coming off so I can see the wall underneath it.

I've been removing the grout with a grout bit on a dremel then used a flat chisel against the wall and hammered it. The tiles come off whole but with some board and wall too.

My question is what do I need to do now? Have I removed the tiles incorrectly? Can I fix it myself?

We have moved into a house that has laminate floor throughout the ground floor, I am used to carpet, if you have laminate floor how do you keep it clean.
Most of the sitting room is ok, but I think the dining room seems grubby and sticky.
