Wooden plank subfloor for tiling over
Posted: Thu Jan 14, 2021 4:24 pm
Had a leak in the bathroom.
Removed tiles and old laminate type subfloor.
Wooden planks sitting on joist now. Some of the planks were damp and had a black layer on them. Dried them out and will apply a treatment to them. Are they suitable for reuse with a hardie backer board on top prior to tiling? Or should I remove and put down plywood?
Also, if I keep them, what adhesive can I use between them and the backer board?
Thanks
