not gettin response at the end of other post. re mdf/ tiling

is mdf safe to use at the end of a bath if well sealed with unibond sealer before tiling over using waterproof adesive and wetroom grouting?. :?

i have already put the mdf up and would not like to have to rip it out to put hardboard in as recomended on this forum..i have enough to do without that... but if not safe..looks like i will have to :(

mikjayfay,
If sealead well from both side and all edges, should be okay to use but not my fav. If any water/moisture does manage to penetrate the board it will swell and could cause moment of tiles. i don't really use it but I have no doubt that it is used and under the right condition and installation is fine.
